Hiro’s Adventure: the Original Edition returns

Play the preserved original Hiro’s Adventure from the Original Games showcase, with classic maps, screens, music and browser controls.

Hiro’s Adventure is back as a preserved Original Edition. Its classic title screen, mountain paths, caves, sprites, music, shops and inventory are available from the Original Games showcase.

The browser presentation enables the existing keyboard movement code and adds on-screen controls. Use arrows to move, Space to double jump, D to attack or enter a shop, and X to open the inventory. Equip a sword or gun through the original menu before attacking.

This edition preserves the surviving original build, including unfinished mechanics and stationary reference artwork. It is an archive of the original game rather than a newly completed campaign.

What changed
