Fox Boi games add living light and animated shadows
Choose sunrise, daylight, sunset or moonlight in Fox Boi Runner, Runner Part 1 and Adventure.
Fox Boi Runner, Runner Part 1 and Adventure now offer a Lighting menu in both editions. Choose a living day, hold sunrise, daylight, sunset or moonlight, or switch the effect off for the original artwork. A normal living day takes 24 minutes; faster preview choices are available.
The HTML5 Recreations retain the original scenery and animation art. Their skies follow the source scenery silhouettes, colors respond to the light direction, and player and enemy shadows follow the current pose and nearby ground or platforms. The seven Adventure rooms and both runner courses keep their existing gameplay.
The preserved Original editions use a lighter presentation effect and a player shadow sampled from their existing game controls. Their original sky and artwork remain in the movie. These editions do not expose the individual render layers needed for the detailed HTML5 material lighting, and some moving-object and pose details remain approximate.
Lighting preferences are separate from game progress and controller profiles. Opening the menu pauses play, while the light clock continues. The Adventure Original startup repair and the original game archives are retained.
