THE IDEA
Keep the momentum.
Make every cut count.
A fast action-platformer with a painted fantasy soul.
We're starting with the essentials: responsive running, deliberate jumps, and a psychic slash that carries through the action. Strider for the Genesis is our movement reference; Psylocke's supplied character design sets the visual foundation.
Direct captures from the supplied Strider binary now guide character scale and movement rhythm. The new course uses solid sloping roofs, a deliberate gap, and a raised roof instead of a row of floating platforms.

flow.
Take the sloping citadel roofs and reach the gate. Keep moving through a slash, duck into a low cut, or focus the butterfly at Psylocke's forehead and release a psychic force. The painted city now scrolls at separate depths, with drifting clouds, smoke and distant lights behind the action.

VISUAL DIRECTION
INK / WATERCOLOR / PSYCHIC LIGHTA painted edge.
A familiar silhouette.
Flowing violet hair. Deep navy. A red sash. A blade made of light. These are the anchors for every pose and animation.
The art direction brings those shapes into expressive ink contours and layered watercolor washes, drawing from the project's fantasy illustration reference.
